Tejas Caddo District is part of Circle Ten Council in Dallas and serves youth of East Dallas. The boundaries coincide with the Dallas Independent School District area that is East of Central Expressway and North of Interstate 30.
Tejas Caddo District was the result of combining White Rock District and White Buffalo District on January 1, 2012. Circle Ten Council realized many districts were different sizes; some were large and difficult to handle, others were smaller and without enough resources. Almost all the districts were realigned and new names selected.
The name Tejas Caddo was chosen by a select panel of judges from the community from submissions by the Scout youth from both previous districts.
The mission of Scouting is to prepare young people to make ethical choices throughout their lives by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Tejas Caddo District provides resources and training to our leaders and youth for the purpose of reaching this mission. You will find information about our events and resources here. If you don't see what you need, call or email one of the District Committee contacts and we will get you an answer!
Tejas Caddo District is supported by a District Committee of Scouters and local community leaders, which provides leadership and support to the Charter Partners and local Scouting units. As liaisons to the units, District Commissioners work to support individual units with assistance from the district and the council.
Tejas Caddo District stands behind Scouting because we have all seen the invaluable and positive experience that the program brings to young men and women and we have seen them succeed in life.
